Laguna Niguel Skatepark

Soccer and skateboard enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite hobby at the Laguna Niguel Skatepark. This skate park at 27745 Alicia Parkway features state-of-the-art facilities in a 20,000 square foot concrete space. Various skateboarding activities also happen here yearly.

Features of the Skateboard Park in Laguna Niguel

The Laguna Niguel Skatepark is one of the best skateboard parks in Southern California. It features state-of-the-art facilities which are suitable for both beginners and professional skateboarders.

Soccer Field

The skatepark has a soccer field made of artificial grass. This field is usable and doesn’t have downtime for maintenance. With a non-abrasive surface, this field lets everyone enjoy a good soccer game even after rain. Various activities happen here all year-round.

General Park Rules:

You need to obtain passes to gain access to the Skate Park.

You must provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or California ID.

  • Scooters

For the safety of other park users, scooters are not allowed near the skateboarding facilities.

  • Liability Waiver

The Parks and Recreation Department staff maintains and supervises the Skate Park. They make sure that the place is clean and orderly. If you wish to use the park, you must submit a completed liability waiver at the Skate Park Office.

A parent or legal guardian must guide children under the age of 18 who wish to access the park. The child’s representative must complete the form in person. Also, it must be done in the presence of Laguna Niguel Skate Park staff.

If the parent or legal guardian can’t submit the waiver personally, then a notarized liability waiver must be provided. You must remember that you can only sign the waiver for your child. Completing the form for other children isn’t allowed.

Once the waiver is completed and signed, you’ll receive a Skate Park ID card. This will serve as your permit to enter the park.

  • Protective Gear

All park users must wear proper protective gear while using the park. You must wear a helmet, elbow, and knee pads while skating, skateboarding or biking.

  • Bike Sessions

Bike-specific schedules will be available for those who want to use the park for bike practices. Not all types of bicycles are allowed in this park. You can use BMX and Dirt Jump/Park-Specific bikes and only during biking sessions.

The Laguna Niguel Skate Park holds three bike sessions per week. During these schedules, only BMX and dirt jump/park-specific bicycles are allowed at the park. Note that you won’t be allowed to use the park for skateboarding and in-line skating purposes.

Activities at the Laguna Skatepark

  • Spring Break Skate Camp

The Laguna Niguel Skatepark hosts a skate camp to everyone in the city every year. Skateboarding participants will be grouped according to skill level. On this annual boot camp, skaters will learn tricks and proper skating techniques. They’ll surely have lots of fun experiences while they get to improve their skills.

  • Skateboard Group Lessons

Do you want to learn skateboarding basics or advanced tricks? The Laguna Niguel Skatepark offers group lessons for everyone. Lessons for beginner and advanced skaters are available.

Beginners will learn the fundamentals of skateboarding, Skate Park etiquettes, and safety protocols. You’ll also learn balance, coordination, and other skateboarding basics.

Advanced lessons are available to skateboarders who want to learn cool skateboarding tricks such as ollies and grinds.

  • Birthday Celebrations at the Skatepark

The Laguna Niguel Skatepark isn’t only a place for skaters and bikers, but an excellent venue for birthday celebrations. You can celebrate your special day at the park. They can even offer a complete birthday party package for you!

For only $250, you can have the best skateboarding-themed party at the Laguna Niguel Skatepark. This fee can cater up to 10 skaters. You can still invite more friends, but with additional charges.

If you wish to celebrate your birthday here, you need to pay a deposit fee of $100. You must also book your reservations at least two weeks before the occasion.

The complete birthday party package includes:

  • Skate passes. You can get up to 10 passes daily here. Additional guests (maximum of 20 guests) can buy passes for only $15 each.
  • Rental space/pad. You can celebrate your birthday at the upstairs viewing area of the building and enjoy a 3-hour exclusive rent.
  • Chairs, tables, plates, cups, and utensils. You won’t need to worry about finding tables and chairs. They’ll provide for you. Plus, tables are covered with a disposable tablecloth, too!
  • Skateboard-themed cake
  • Lemonade
  • Two boxes of pizzas
  • A half-hour skateboarding lesson for the inexperienced kids.

But if you wish to cancel your reservation, you need to notify the office in two full business days. Failure to cancel within two days will result in loss of deposit.
