San Joaquin Hills is a master-planned community in Laguna Niguel. The houses began constructing in this community in 1997, three years after the city council approval for the development. The Community Association maintains the neighborhood’s facilities like the community center and landscaping.

The community is divided into community subdivisions:
Knolls – located in the southernmost part of the neighborhood surrounding the main community center.
Crestview – this is the center-most community in the neighborhood and is adjacent to the main community center.
Glen Cove – it’s the largest community in the neighborhood.
Somerset – this community has sold out homes.
The Summit – it’s the latest community in the neighborhood with upscale homes.
